Firefighters in San Diego responded to reports of a vegetation fire near a freeway and located a small fire under a bridge. The fire was found to have a low spread rate and is being managed by the crew on site.

Laptop for. Engine 45, Metro. Metro from Engine 45, forward rate of progress has stopped. We're getting good water on the fire. Crew is going to be committed, approximately one hour.

Firefighters have stopped the fire's spread and are applying water.

Metro, Engine 45, Engle. Engine 45. So, we've located the fire. We have approximately a 10 by 10 heavy fuel, slow rate of spread. About 300 yards into the river bottom. Engine 45, Engine 18, we'll be able to handle.

Firefighters report that the fire covers an area of  10 feet by 10 feet.
