Respectfully, hope everyone is safe. But need to get these RVs off the streets. They are a danger in MANY ways.
When the cost of rent is more than take home pay, where would you suggest they go❓
Hope there were no people or animals on the RV.
I have friends - an elderly couple (both work full time) who live in a run down RV down there and man, they've been through cancer, and major health scares, as I said they both work and are kind giving people, and they can't catch a break. Why cities didn't establish low-rent RV parks with water and electricity when the housing crisis hit, I will never understand. People with low low incomes who are elderly and sick, really have nowhere to turn. Yes, there are drug addicts and people with major mental illness too. People like that used to be able to get cheap apartments. So many social services were defunded and shut down in Trump's first term. Many people, in our society where the rich make money hand over fist but the poor are left in a chronic cycle of financial stress, need a bump up to get to a better place. Some people in those RVs are doing their best to survive and get through each day.
You know, thank you "BW" for informing others ... Our elders don't have much in the way of resources & depend on ppl like yourself to help them out, even seniors who live alone need help, many don't have networks of ppl to check in on them & that alone is frightening, should they fall & in pain but can't get help ❓ If you know or have an elder in your life, adopt as your own grandparent, Thank you 🧓🏼😘🙏🏼
