If you can approach him and get a leash on him, take him to a vet to scan for a microchip unless he has an ID tag on his collar. If not , don't take him to a police station as they will not keep him- they will send him to Animal Care and Control where d/t space constraints they may euthanize him. You can take him to Animal Care League in Oak Park, PAWS Chicago or contact Girraldi Pet Rescue. Also post on Pet Finder. Good luck in helping this sweet doggy find his owners.
