The 51-year-old suspect, who has since been detained, first fatally stabbed a 30-year-old construction worker near West 19th Street and Eighth Avenue this morning. About two hours later, the same suspect fatally stabbed a 61-year-old near East 30th Street and FDR Drive. In the third incident, the same suspect stabbed a woman in the chest at East 42nd Street and First Avenue. The stabbings are described as random, though the attacker started fights with the victims beforehand, the NY Post reported.
