According to the SFFD, the flames have been contained and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Lt. Jonathan Baxter, Public Information Officer for the SFFD, states that 15 people are being treated in the fire department's multi-casualty bus. The fire is contained within the building and has not moved to other buildings.
The primary and secondary searches of the entire building are complete and a firefighter stated all was clear. Firefighters are also working to notify Red Cross of the occupants who need temporary shelter.

Secondary searches on the fourth and fifth floor have been completed, according to firefighters.
It is being reported that both primary and secondary searches on the sixth floor have been completed.

Firefighters are working to rescue people stuck inside of the building and on the fire escapes.
It is unclear whether there are any trapped people or injuries.
