Central Park South, 58th, & 57th Streets have been closed from 5th Avenue to 8th Avenue, according to firefighters.
An additional report states ice is falling from a building on W 53rd Street.
Citizen user amdnyc2680 shows a parked vehicle whose rear window has apparently been shattered by the ice.
The area is being cordoned off and representatives from the NYC Office of Emergency Management (OEM) are on scene.
Police are requesting additional officers to the scene for crowd and traffic control.

Yes the streets are still Closed
This is so bad! Are the roads still blocked off? You should call 311 to file your complaint but good luck getting any justice.
