3.7 Million Little Giant Ladders Recalled
United States
Published · Updated
Summary
- Little Giant Ladder Systems of Springville, Utah, is recalling about 3,662,000 ladders with Rapid Locks, the CPSC announced Thursday.
- The ladders can suddenly retract if the locks aren't fully engaged. Rapid Locks are the black or orange locks on each leg that set the ladder's height.
- Recalled models: Adjustable Fortress 2.0, Conquest 2.0, Dark Horse 2.0, Epic, King Kombo XT, Leveler, MegaLite, MegaLite+, Multi, Quantum and Vector. The brand and model name are on the side of the ladder. Ladders with an orange rectangular "QC" sticker on the rail above one of the Rapid Locks are not included.
- Little Giant has 25 reports of ladders retracting, including 19 injuries. 3 were head injuries, including traumatic brain injury and skull fracture. The other 16 included fractures, cuts and bruises. There are 39 more reports of locks not working properly.
- The ladders sold at Lowe's, Costco, Amazon, LittleGiantLadders.com and other stores and websites from December 2015 through October 2026, for about $100 to $1,000.
- Comment or go LIVE if you own one of these ladders, and share your experience.
- Stop using the ladder and get a free repair kit (warning labels and instructions) from littlegiantladders.com/pages/recalls or the QR code on the ladder. If a lock still doesn't work after it's been lubricated, Little Giant will check it. If it fails that check, Little Giant will offer a replacement or a refund. Contact Little Giant at 866-201-9069, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. MT, Monday through Friday.
