He knocked at my mom’s house about 2 weeks ago and again today on Avenue C. He claimed to be from ComEd last time. But my gut feeling told me it wasn’t legit. This second time I instructed my mother not to open the door and called the cops after I told him we weren’t interested the first time.
It doesn’t sound legit. According to google ComEd will never send utility workers knocking door to door to ask for your personal info or to sell you their service. Especially with it getting dark outside earlier and with Halloween around the corner we have to be alert and careful with these scams. It was the same individual from last time; African American, dreads, about 6ft, slim. Green utility vest and a backpack.
