Large Fire at Recycling Center

LA Division IC, Command 10. Division IC, go ahead. Can we get an updated ETA for Edison? Can you let them know to expedite? Division IC, LA copies.

IC from Charlie. Charlie, go. I got them working on a water supply issue for us right now on the Charlie side. I sent you a pic of it, if it helps you out. But I got plenty of room to put more rigs if we figure out the water supply. But first, I need Edison to kill all the powers of the power lines on this side. Otherwise, we're going to be no-go.

Since you're the closest and you got eyes on it, can you just confirm what's burning? It looks like just junk vehicles.

Yeah, it's scrap vehicles and scrap metal. It's a large metal pile.

Alright, anything in there we need to be concerned about? Propane tanks, anything hazmat?

A 130 for Bravo. Division Alpha, IC. Go Bravo. No, nothing in there.

Yeah, I tried to make my way around it. I don't see any propane tanks directly impacted. Right now, there is an excavator just to the north of the pile. Hopefully, we can keep the fire away from that so it doesn't involve that excavator.

Alright, from here it looks like you guys are keeping it in check. I think once we get these sticks up, we'll start making some good progress. But, do an assessment, let me know if you're going to need any more.

Could you use your water tender instead of an engine, or are you going to need another water supply?

Yeah, I'll need my tender, and then I'll need another engine to supply me.

If we can get a rig to lay away from us to the hydrant and then pump the hydrant from across the street off a different main, then I think this is going to be the better spot. We can get right on top of it.

Yeah, if you want, you can make me Division Charlie. I got a good spot back here, and you can utilize Quint 24 off the, uh, more of the Alpha side if you got a good spot there. I think this is going to be a good engine for us.

Are you guys going to be able to make access in there, room for a second truck and get a water supply?

We're looking now. The whole parking lot's full to the north. I think our best bet's going to be to the west, but that's a big dirt field. And we'll probably end up needing a rake to pump us. It's going to take us a little bit. We're going to have to do some recon.
