As someone who works in Reading the trains stopped on the tracks needs to stop! This happens all the time!

Change your smoke detector and CO detector batteries, and if your detectors are more than ten years old, replace them. Don't know if that was a factor in that fire, but it may save your life one day.

This Shoukd not of happened period those tracks and those trains are a mess. I’m so sorry for this families loss. God Bless you and your family

The interview with the Cheif indicates that the emergency response today was delayed access due to a train stopped on the tracks! 😲 He said this is an ongoing issue that has been ignored by ( State?) Officials for FIVE YEARS?! The loss of property is bad enough. But here, the LOSS of LIFE has exposed blatant negligence and disregard of the authorities. They must be held accountable for their irresponsible refusal over FIVE YEARS to address blocking EMS systems by allowing this train to park and isolate services! Irregardless of the outcome on when this person passed. I'm praying for all involved! 🙏 This "elderly" person mattered. The families on this side of the tracks MATTER! This incident must bring change on their behalf.
