Mental health matters but y’all need to stop trying to push the narrative that it was mental illness or postpartum whenever it’s a mother that takes their own child’s life. That tries to excuse or justify why they did it. That trope is getting real played out especially when the cases are taken to court. RIP to that angel and the mother needs to be imprisoned, the rest of her kids aren’t safe with her.

Right!!! All of a sudden thats the new thing now smh freaking sad.

The mother admitted to it. She was released 3 weeks ago from a psychiatric place in Jamaica hospital. Why would they let the little girl stay with her? This is so sad.

Omg - infuriating!

A 5 yr old that was just in kindergarten learning that won’t be here to graduate. A 5 yr old that won’t be here for the holidays. That won’t be here to celebrate any birthdays. Justice for that baby girl 🙏🙏🙏

@newyorkUSer2517111026: If you were aware of what was happening yesterday evening, as you mentioned in your comments, why are you only speaking up now? Why didn’t you call the police or request a wellness check to give authorities a chance to intervene and probably saved that little girl from dying. If you truly have relevant information, please do everyone a favor and report what you saw or heard to law enforcement immediately so it can be added to the investigation. Any details, witness accounts, or insight could help detectives piece together what happened and bring clarity to this tragedy
