- From September 14 through 26, the Baltimore Police Department and a coalition of local, state and federal partners ran a two-week warrant initiative across the city. The result: 92 warrants served, 86 people arrested, and seven of Baltimore's most serious open cases moved toward closure.
- Four arrests were on homicide-related warrants:
- Russell Jackson, 54, was arrested September 15 and charged in the March 19 fatal shooting of Kenneth Blake in the 2600 block of Wilkens Avenue.

- Shantoya Century, 26, was arrested September 26 and charged in the December 23, 2025 hit-and-run that killed Carlos Vicente in the 2400 block of Orleans Street.
- Three more were arrested for attempted murder, all tied to non-fatal shootings:

- Walter Powell, 42, was arrested September 21 in connection with the September 3 shooting of a 30-year-old in the 1300 block of Laurens Street.
- BPD confirmed to Citizen that charges have been filed in all seven cases. The remaining warrants covered eight robberies, 40 assaults, two aggravated assaults, one sex offense and 34 misdemeanors, along with drug seizures.
- The U.S. Marshals Service, Baltimore County Police, Maryland State Police and the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services all took part. The Warrant Apprehension Task Force behind the operation has made more than 1,600 arrests this year, 261 more than the same period in 2025.

- December 2025 fatal hit-and-run on Orleans St
- “The success of this initiative demonstrates what we can accomplish when law enforcement agencies work together with a shared commitment to making Baltimore and our region safer,” said Police Commissioner Richard Worley. “I want to thank the men and women of the Baltimore Police Department, U.S. Marshals Service, Maryland Department of State Police, Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services and Baltimore County Police Department for their continued collaboration and dedication to holding violent offenders accountable.
