Police in Chicago are searching for a child who reportedly cut through a fence and became trapped between Fairfield and California Avenues. Officers lost sight of the juvenile, last seen wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt, and are now checking nearby yards.

Child Cut Through Fence of Vacant Property

State at the 1800 block of Fairfield. We have a couple units to check yard to yard, but be careful for officer safety. They're putting something in their waistband.

 For information, the individual they saw earlier is the same guy that took off with me, pretty sure.

 They lost him on the 1800 block of Fairfield going through the gangway.

 So, if I can have a couple officers just, I guess, checking yard from yard.

It's going to be a vacant property, so he's going to be trapped in between Fairfield and California. So we're going to get a unit over to California. We're going to hit the alley at Fairfield. Alright, 1812 North Fairfield. So he's going to be trapped in between Fairfield and California. 10-4.
