Summary

Firefighters responded to reports of a fire in a 15-story high-rise near Cortez Hill in San Diego. A light haze and faint burning odor were detected on the second and third floors, but no fire was found. The smoke and odor began to dissipate as crews initiated ventilation efforts.

Fire TAC IC 8 Bravo. Go for Fire TAC 8 Bravo. Fire TAC IC, have we located the source? IC from Fire TAC, that's a negative. We've knocked on all the doors. We've checked the trash chutes. We have two crew members gone to the electrical room below us. Still negative on trash chute and any of the doors. It smells like a possible burnt candle, but we have not located the source. We're working with Truck 11, Charlie...

Truck 1 from Truck 11, TAC. Truck 1. Our ventilation plan right now is to bring electric blowers to the second and third floor. There isn't a lot of smoke up there, but we'll move some air out.
