It’s apart of the Fiestas Patrias festival, the annual Mexican Independence Day celebration held at Seattle Center.
As the broadcaster, you're narrative-building. If there were actual weapons and near-misses with fire trucks, it’d be on the screen. Exaggerating a traffic slowdown for views on Citizen just creates fake panic.
If you actually witnessed open weapons or drunk driving, call 911 and submit video evidence to SPD. Spreading unverified claims in a comment section just to justify calling a holiday parade 'cartel activity' is unhelpful.
¡Eyyyyyyyy hermanos nice dune buggys! If we're suddenly attacked by a sandstorm, hope these guys will be nearby! Seriously, though, crap place to park & gather, should have used the old Memorial Stadium parking lot right next door to where you're at, instead; unless they tore it out during construction? No? Especially since where they're at in this video is a DROP-OFF POINT FOR PEOPLE GOING TO SEATTLE CENTER, THE LOADING ZONE FOR MoPOP & SCI-FI MUSEUM, AND LITERALLY AN EMERGENCY VEHICLE & FIRE TRUCK PARKING ZONE, AS MARKED BY THE RED-PAINTED CURBS ¡Oy Chihuahua! C'mon, people, use your brains about shizz like this. The last video does show a fire truck drive by, likely unrelated; maybe checking things out. I just heard a fire siren coming from across Seattle Center where this video was taken at about 2:50pm, so hopefully also unrelated. Point being: ¡¡Don't block the Fire Lanes like you're doing here!!
