Never seen a helicopter like that. I thought they came because of it. It did not come across as a helicopter at first then about 6 minutes later everyone’s here. Wild

m — Marine Battalion and land units dispatched. The caller/boat crew reported being on the bay side of City Island near Center Street, "right off Edgewater Park." Dispatch struggled to pin the location down; land units couldn't see the vessel. Dispatch set up a box at Edgewater Park so land companies could stage there instead of running out to City Island. • ~2:04–2:07 am — Units at the dead end of Miles Avenue reported limited visibility and no sighting. Crews were moved to a better vantage point. Nothing found yet. • ~2:18 am — Battalion 20 still on Miles Avenue past Edgewater Park, trying to locate the marine units. • ~2:19 am — Marine 6 located the person in the water and pulled them out. CPR in progress. Dispatch requested an ambulance and Battalion 20 meet the boat at the Turner Club, so the patient could be handed off on shore quickly. • ~2:20–2:25 am — Engine 72 assigned, extra units released, remaining companies staged at City Island. Traffic winds down after the handoff.
