They close the street for pride in October so why not for black gay pride. Let these people have fun. Why live in a nightlife area if you’re gonna complain about the nightlife. 🙄
When the streets are closed the organization that is hosting the event has to pay to have the streets shut down and the police to man it. So this event’s organization may not have wanted to do so. It’s not free to just shut them down.
Yeah piedmonts a tough one to close but it would be better for everyone if they had done that for that section
They should have just closed the streets to traffic in that area. If they close downtown for Dragon Con, they should be able to close that area for Gay Black Pride. Just like any thing, residents just need to plan ahead.
