FedEx Trailer Caught Fire on Highway 99 Off-Ramp

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.

The driver disconnected the semi-truck from the trailer before the fire could spread further. No injuries were reported.

Kern County firefighters cut into the sides of the trailer and opened the rear to gain access to the fire. Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames.

At approximately 7:59 p.m., the Kern County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol responded to the Olive Drive off-ramp from Highway 99 for reports of a FedEx semi-truck and trailer on fire.
