I am highly concerned with today's shelter in place in Taylorsville. Based on the new storey a "shelter in place" was said to be issued about 1:00 pm. However, I am EXTREMELY concerned as no one in our neighborhood was notified via reverse 911 calls, texts, or email. Bennion Jr. High School was out of school today about 12:45. No one even knew we needed to shelter in place to start with. We did however get all notifications that this shelter in place has been lifted. For the safety of this community, the safety of our children who generally like to be with friends outside... We as parents, as citizens of Taylorsville had unknowingly been placed in a shelter in place status yet never informed. Can we get answers as to why we never received the initial notification? This is unacceptable and highly dangerous to our community.

This has been resolved and the shelter in place has been lifted. Felony suspect with a warrant refused to leave a house. He's been arrested. It's over.
So what happened? There has been 0 updates?!
