If you read transcripts it looks like the suspect jumped to his death (they refer to a “jumper” with no medic needed). Which would explain the crime scene tape outside around that area. I drove by a few minutes before 9am and saw officers on 4th street looking down over the black gate area into lower underground section that is viewable from the street. At the time they were just unrolling the crime scene tape. Now it looks like they have encompassed that entire area with it.
Wsyx looks to be the only news outlet that picked up the story. All it says is police are working to determine whether the stabbing and the death are connected. 5ey discovered the dead body while investigating the stabbing. No update as to the stabbing victim’s condition.
