Passengers are unable to exit the train. LIRR purple line train due to safety concerns exiting between stations because of the third rail. Police are on the scene investigating the incident because someone was struck by the train. Passengers on the train have reported the feeling of strong vibrations underneath the train and a very loud sounds. The train stopped right after that.

LIRR staff said there was a trespasser who jumped in front of the train while it was going 80mph. LIRR staff has said they have called police and are conducting an investigation.
