Man seen wielding a metal pipe tri stand at Hennepin Ave and Laurel Ave. Man hit a red Chevy sedan on the back passenger door and then used the pipe to smash the back window of the vehicle. Security guard confronted the man and he walked toward Hennepin Ave, still carrying the metal pipe. Security guard asked the man if he hit the red Chevy sedan with the pipe and the man got in the security guard’s face and admitted to hitting the vehicle. He then threw the pipe into the intersection on Hennepin Ave and a few passing vehicles hit the pipe before it was removed from the roadway. Man was boarding a bus (appeared to be Metro E Line headed southbound) as it left from the Laurel Ave and Hennepin Ave MetroTransit station. Man was Caucasian, wearing a royal blue with white sleeves and script letterman-style jacket. Appeared to be aged 50-60, balding and with a beard.
A neighbor said they were calling the police as this was happening, but I haven’t seen the police show up yet.
Just checked to see damage done. Whoever got a red car as mentioned above it’s smashed in the back
