I was able to walk by while LAFD was putting it out and spoke to someone from DWP. He asked if we knew of any birthday parties or open houses nearby because the fire was caused by a Mylar balloon hitting the power line
Those darn things cause a lot of fires... 🙄
Is this why we don't have power right now? Atwater Village at the river.
Has the power returned?
Anybody know how long we are supposed to sit in pitch black with no air conditioning?
I'm sure they're doing their best. I'm glad it appears more damage wasn't done. You van always go to the mall or a cooling center. 🤷♀️
