You know what guys, we need to start having real conversations about this. I want to know stats. How many people that are homeless in Van Nuys right now victims of child abuse, where is foster care, used drugs by the time they were 15? I honestly don’t know but we gotta stop saying it’s not people’s fault and there aren’t resources for mental illness or addiction. Like okay sure but you can give someone like this all the resources in the world and if they have developmental trauma that they don’t want to treat then it’s pointless. I’m not saying for everyone, but it almost feels like too late at this point. We need to help the kids out the kids that are at risk of becoming these adults. Addiction is not the problem it’s only a symptom of the problem.
