I live close by if you can’t locate the owner I’d be willing to take care of him until we can locate the owner

Take the dog to a vet to see if he/she has a microchip which could help locate the owner.
I assist the local pct in situations like this. Lucky is microchipped & thankfully the company finally called back & reunion is pending 💜
