It's really scary when a fire like that is so close that it's touching your home ... We had a fire in our backyard that involved a lithium battery and got HUGE and wouldn't go out with water or fire extinguisher at first. The flames were touching the house and I wanted to put the fire out but also wanted to grab the kids and my disabled mom and disabled fiance and get everyone out ...but if I left from fighting the fire, it would have lept onto the roof....they always say to do your family first so I had my oldest take everyone out and my middle one ran and got the extinguisher and pulled the pin and started doing his thing (he was 10at the time) and I stayed out there with the hose putting out everything that WASNT the lithium battery. That part didn't want to quit. But he and I were able to put out the leaves, grass, tree, boxes that were stupidly flatened and stored by the trash bins...next to the stupid L battery. Lesson learned: don't leave things with those batteries near flammable stuff
It was a staffs vehicle at a group home it’s being investigated
There's NINE cars that park at my neighbors '. They turned a house into "apartments " theres thousands of houses like this in maryvale single family home, 10-20 ppl inside. Imagine the SMELLS
What caused the fire to the vehicle?
Yeah good question!!! Looks like a very new model,an electric car.
Thank you firefighters. I hope no one was inside.
