Man Stabbed in Back Inside (3) Train Station, Search for Suspect Underway

On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at approximately 9:15 p.m., inside of the Sutter Avenue-Rutland Road subway station, a 44-year-old male victim was walking on a staircase when he was approached by an unidentified suspect.

The NYPD is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect depicted in the attached photos and video, wanted in connection to an assault that occurred inside the Sutter Ave-Rutland Rd (3) train station.
