A Zelle payment issue also came up. The individual took the Switch without resolving the payment issue and fled.
On Monday, May 25, around 6 p.m., a 20-year-old man arranged to sell a watch and met two people at in the 800 block of East 95th Street in Brooklyn to complete the transaction. The victim then discussed an issue with two individuals involving a Zelle payment issue. One of them displayed a firearm and took the victim's watch before both fled.
Police say the pattern includes three incidents: In the first robbery, on Wednesday, May 13, around 8:40 p.m., a 22-year-old man arranged to sell sneakers and met a person in front of a Bronx location in the 300 block of East 160th Street. The individual forcibly took the victim's backpack containing the sneakers and fled on foot.
The NYPD is asking for the public's help identifying a man wanted in connection with a series of robberies targeting people meeting up for Facebook Marketplace sales in the Bronx and Brooklyn.
