7 Shot and 1 Stabbed in Downtown Rochester Mass Shooting; Three Suspects Charged

A loaded ghost handgun with an extended magazine was recovered from a Kia on East Broad St., and a 17-year-old male was also charged.

During the immediate response, officers stopped two vehicles. Two loaded handguns were recovered from a Toyota on East Ave., and Larry Dillon, 29, and Jadell Williams, 28, were charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

Among the victims are a 12-year-old boy shot in the lower body, a 15-year-old girl shot in both the upper and lower body, a 19-year-old woman shot in the upper body who is now stable, and a 16-year-old girl stabbed in the upper body. The majority of victims appear to have been unintended targets.

Eight people were injured across the two scenes — seven shot and one stabbed. Three initially had life-threatening injuries, but officers applied life-saving tourniquets at the scene. All eight are expected to survive.

Around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, police heard gunshots from a parking lot at 275 East Ave. And then immediately from East Broad Street. Officers flooded both areas as more than 50 shots were fired from multiple weapons.
