User that commented - I was in the middle of calling 311 after I posted and a city of Chicago truck pulled up to deal with the tree. But thanks for your retort - I posted to be helpful for anyone trying to traverse on the way to work.

Thats terrible and it ain't even raining, but I'm sure with all the storms we be having made it come down ,feel bad for the people with damage cuz it sucks ..
Edgewater and the Glen have beautiful trees, but many are very old, haven’t been trimmed in years, and go not inspected for years.
