Just a heads up, I-8 east at College Ave is still closed. It’s 2:45AM.
I ended the live bc nothing was going on. Just random chatter on the radio and these two just hanging around. Will provide updates if something happens.
This message got forwarded: “based on what I heard on the scanner, at about 12:09 AM San Diego Police was involved in a pursuit with the driver of a gold Chrysler sedan in the area of First Ave and Elm St. The want for the driver was a hit and run on a SDPD vehicle. The pursuit continued onto the freeway and ended at about 12:23 AM when the driver was involved in a traffic collision eastbound on the 8 near College Ave. As of 1:04 AM, officers are continuing to work on safely detaining the driver.”
I live on the north side of I-8 directly north from the incident. I-8 is closed eastbound at College. I just thought I heard gunshots. Hard to tell with the fireworks.
