As I was walking away police came and closed the walking path I was on.
It IS a brush fire. So weird. Crowd control at a brush fire??????
@m8fb there were a lot of people coming up and down 75th/hillcrest and parking their cars to gawk at the rigs going in/smoke from the fire at the trail head. Plus, I watched them clear out a decent handful of people from the trail itself from my backyard, and then PD blocked that section of road. Likely so they wouldn’t have to worry about civilians 1) if the fire got big and out of control and 2) so they could do their job without interference.
