SFO Fire Incident – No Impact on Airport Operations FIRE EXTINGUISHED At 6:40 PM this evening, the San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD) responded to reports of a fire in a construction area on West Field Road at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Crews arrived on the scene at 6:43 PM and confirmed that the fire involved construction materials. Fortunately, the fire was quickly extinguished at 7:15 PM with no injuries reported, and no structures or terminals were affected. There is no impact on airport operations. The cause of the fire has been determined to be accidental. We appreciate our airport partners for their prompt notification and coordination.
I’m at SFO. I can’t see what is on fire, but the smoke has now dissipated.
