All these comments. I’m proud to say I was there as a juvenile did my time and never returned. I have earned my degree since and have applied to work here to make a difference and let them know it’s not too late to change their lives.

Wow who said the parents are responsible for the kid until they are 21 ? That suppose to be it , ut thetruth of the matter is the system have our kids feeling grown at 17 that we can’t even grab our children the way we want and should because the state say they are grown
Exactly. If we work and can't watch their every move we are wrong we teach them right feom wrong its still not enough. Ive heard kids call 911 for getting things taken from them for bad behavior. Autonomy is a gift and a curse
there are a lot of issues like the system not providing enough after school programs for kids, budget cuts, etc. careless parenting is also a contributor to these things
