I am the owner of the home where the incident occurred this morning. I would like to apologize to everyone and provide an explanation of what happened One of the residents is an alcoholic. He is attempting to get sober. In the process he is having very painful withdrawal symptoms. In the midst of his pain he sent a text to his ex-wife that could have reasonably read to indicate he was suicidal. He was not suicidal Out of concern for his welfare, she appropriately called the police and informed them he owns a gun. Not knowing the situation, I believe the police responded appropriately. While he does own a gun, it was never out of the safe. Again, I apologize to all my neighbors for the inconvenience caused by this incident
