Parents if your child isn't home call them and tell them the street lights are on bring it in. If we dont start butting BTA then the police or the streets wont hesitate to do it for you in a worse way.💯
Unfortunately many of these kids run their caregivers (usually worn out grandparents) because parents are too busy getting high or running the streets themselves. ORRR you have one parent (USUALLY but not ALWAYS) single mothers working endless hrs trying to survive and put food on the table so they can't be there to watch them 247. This happened at a time that the sun had JUST gone down, not like they are out rubbing streets on a school night at 12pm. In high-school I worked until 930, getting me through the door at 10. The problem is these kids know they will get a slap of the wrist and be let out right away. They need to open up another juvenile JAIL not "detention center" so they stay locked up!
We need to stop making excuses and actually hold people accountable: this is getting worse and will never change until we finally quit blaming everyone else but the people perpetrating this mentality
Glad the suspect was apprehended so quickly. Lock em upppp 🗣️
Guess that is why the Police Helicopter was going around. Prayers to the victims, family and neighbors. Think we do have a crime problem but we need to admit it and do something about it before it gets any worse. Need policevofgicers patrolingbour neighborhoods and business districts. Get involved with your neighborhood. Encourage the kids to get involved with positive things. Lots to choose from. Start with contacting the school counselor, recreation and Parks. Maybe a part time job or summer camp.
