Even best case, you need to temper your expectations. Crocker Street and Wall Street and Spring Street and Los Angeles Street and many others were absolute dangerous garbage in 1987 39 years ago. Stop pretending this happened because of Karen bass. It has always been like this with Crocker and Wall Street actually blocked by burning barrels of trash in the middle of the night throughout the late 80s and early 90s. Dead bodies being found was not uncommon, stolen cars were always found down there, felonies like stolen cars and cocaine possession and heroin possession were happening hundreds of times per day in just sections of a few blocks in downtown Los angeles. Around 1989 as the crack epidemic was burning out, someone with a year's long rap sheet of felonies could get arrested for a dozen grams of cocaine possession which is a felony or Grand Theft Auto which is a felony, and I mean just stealing a car so they could sit in the car doing drugs, they would be brought into the Criminal Courts Building and tol

No one is safe or secure in jobs, housing or anything else so we must have compassion for one another no matter race/culture
