She got out of the car to call people to come get her, no intention of staying she was clearly intoxicated

When she heard sirens she told her friend who was driving another car “let’s go, he’s a sheriff” and her friend drive away with her as cops arrived
Drunk driver left the scene
Is that why she didn't want to get out of the car?
