The Baltimore Fire Department released the following statement on X (formerly Twitter): “Shortly before 12:30 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 2200 block of Guilford Ave. For a dwelling fire. Upon arrival, units reported fire showing from a 2½‑story middle‑of‑group row-home, with fire on the 2nd & 3rd floors. The fire extended to adjacent dwellings, prompting a 3rd alarm response. Members are actively operating on the scene. Rear conditions showed fire with extension through the roofline. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
