We thought it was a road rage incident at first
I saw it happen live and they were most likely drunk. Slowly hit a vehicle in the opposite direction lane before driving into the sidewalk and flooring it into a tree. Once they hit the tree they still had the accelerator fully down just burning out. Reported to 911 as either DWI or medical emergency.
The driver was either drunk or on their phone.
