Phoenix E bikes or motorized type I excluding motorcycles in Phoenix you must ride on the street in the bike lane in Scottsdale. You must ride on the sidewalk. So if that bike was in the street, he would technically get the ticket. I just watched a police officer discussed that on the news the other day because it’s complicated because the boundaries of Scottsdale and Phoenix can blend pretty easily. Of course, not in this situation but just interesting information.
Agree - it's very difficult when cities that blend seamlessly have different rules. 😕
Yes, that sure looks like one. Yesterday, I had one come up FAST from behind my car . Fortunately, I saw it before opening my door, or we both would have had damage. 😠 It buzzed so close to my car I thought it was going to hit me. 😡 There were guys on bikes with them supposedly " training " them . From what I experienced- the guys on the bikes had NO control or failed to intervene - as one had a close call zipping out into Indian School road. Ugh, 4 were offloaded from an unmarked white box truck, same as in the video here. I don't recall signing up for one more diversion on the already chaotic roads.
