LAFD: Update Knockdown Structure Fire; INC#0552; 08:54AM; 14238 W Dickens St; https://bit.ly/4wJVrNI; Sherman Oaks; Approximately 80 firefighters achieved full extinguishment of the fire in 2 hours and 34 minutes. Heavy fire was confined to one unit on the second floor. Adjacent units have sustained smoke and water damage. Two dogs, both awake and alert, were located and safely removed from the affected unit. No injuries were reported to civilians or fire department personnel. Red Cross is assisting displaced residents and those in need of assistance. LA Building and Safety are assessing structural damage and compromise. LAFD Arson is investigating the cause of the fire.

I live in the apt next door, left with my baby immediately, you could see and feel it from our bedroom window! Very scary waking up too!
Hope everyone is okay. My sister and her pets had to evacuate from the apartment complex just next door. Reallllly scary. Fire season is coming earlier and earlier.
