But yes, as I read some of the comments, pedestrians need to be cautious as well. We may have the right of way, but cars are way fast that is walking, biking, scootering, etc. If you were not there for the light turn and there are no cars going through the intersection to protect your side, STOP AND WAIT!! After almost getting hit even when I was there for the walk sign, now I make sure to have eye contact with the drivers before I start crossing. Even if it is just crossing a small street.
I had a coworker friend who lived in LB. I’d been trying to locate him for years. We were in LB and Ocean was shut down so we turned around. Found out next day that someone had stepped in front of a bus. A few months later, I found out it was my friend. :(
