According to police, on Friday, February 27, 2026, at approximately 10:24 p.m., a 16-year-old male was running in front of 1214 Evergreen Avenue when an unidentified individual discharged a firearm, striking the victim in the right buttocks. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle, traveling toward East 172nd Street. EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was listed in stable condition.
