Apparently the news is saying the sound was from a meteor all the way up in Ohio.

Yea if were hearing multiple booms then, it may have been pilot testing. Chat GPT said that even though it’s cloudy they can still go above the clouds. If it is a sonic boom they should atleast go practice in the sand hills. Not that far away, beautiful place. It would be more courteous. Rather than doing a sonic boom near a major city but that also raises questions to why a pilot is in our major metropolitan area and acceding the speed to break the sound barrier.

I heard a huge boom/explosion noise yesterday afternoon in the dundee area

I can’t provide live video at the moment due to snowy conditions. No smoke plume can be seen from my location anywhere. Chat GPT said the sound may have been a sonic boom from military testing near by, which can be heard from 1-50 miles away and amplified by cloud coverage, however until I hear a report, I am skeptical as to what it could of been.
