Metro. That's 20. With an updated size up, we had a two-car TA at the intersection of Burbank and Vineland. One vehicle sheared a power pole and caught fire. That is an electric vehicle. We have an extended firefight due to the inability to get close to the vehicle. So, I'm good with the company or the resources we have. I anticipate Task Force 60 approximately one hour. Thank you.

Why would anyone buy a car that could turn into an inferno if it gets in a crash or gets wet?

kristiBFeb 17 at 12:45 PM

Now reported as a two-vehicle collision with one vehicle into the power pole, causing down power lines. The vehicle into the pole is an EV with auto fire and it will be an extended duration operation because firefighters can not get close to the vehicle due to the power lines. LAFD HazMat is enroute to assist. Two patients are being evaluated for what appear to be minor injuries, there have not yet been any hospital transports. The intersection is closed and drivers are advised to seek alternate routes. No further updates are anticipated. LAPD Inc#1905
