It took almost 30 mins for it to be posted here. I saw it posted on the SFD page as ”scenes of violence” at 5:46pm.

@soirsloan I think the public would be safer knowing which areas to avoid. I was headed to the Golden Gardens dog park a couple years ago not knowing that a shooting had just occurred in the parking lot and a suspect was on the loose in the area. I could hear the sirens in every direction and I didn’t know which way to go to avoid the conflict. Thankfully I was able to check the fire department page and realize I was headed into danger, so I quickly turned to the opposite direction and got out.

I lived a block away from here 15 years ago and my husband got a gun pulled on him in this neighborhood. It’s a cute area like so much of Seattle but it is not safe. This isn’t a Katie Wilson problem, it’s an ongoing Seattle problem. Violent, predatory men need to remain in jail. Citizens shouldn’t be expected to live alongside gen pop when we’re barely getting by trying to be contributing members of society.

We were walking our dog around that corner about 20 min ago and heard a ton of rapid fire cracking shots - I thought it sounded like those m80 ground fireworks, but my partner said it sounded like a gun and we ran home. They were fast and in quick succession so maybe more like an automatic gun? I don’t know… really scary.

@seattlepwc I heard the same thing over by 17th and thought initially thought gunshots, didn’t sound like a long gun from where I was though
