At approximately 8:03 p.m., an Atlanta Police officer patrolling along Armand Road Northeast noticed smoke and visible flames coming from a single-family residence. The officer immediately notified dispatch, and Atlanta Fire Rescue units were sent to the scene. Upon arrival, firefighters found a large structure fire that had already consumed more than 80 percent of the home. According to Atlanta Fire Rescue, the call was received at around 8:03 p.m. as a single-family structure fire. The house was vacant at the time of the incident. Fire investigators with the Atlanta Fire Rescue Fire Investigation Unit remain on scene working to determine the cause of the fire. No injuries were reported.
