Sad.... there needs to be working cameras all over that area! Charlotte needs to get cameras installed all over the streets of Charlotte
I'm not a huge fan of surveillance by the government/law enforcement, but it's a balance of safety vs privacy. The more cameras, the more we need very strict policies around what data is collected & how it is used. Do we want facial recognition or license plate cameras tracking our every move? How can that data be used (like is a warrant from a judge needed to access it? I got sidetracked by your comment, though. My condolences to the family of the person who was killed and I hope the person who did it turns themselves in.
