This fire was at the old MASE building located at the corner of Jefferson and Montgomery. Homeless people and vagrants have been living in all the buildings on this property since MASE left. The property belongs to Mississippi Blvd Church and they have known about these unsecured buildings and homeless people living there. All the copper wiring, pipes, HVAC units, anyrhing of values has been stolen. Property has no light and is a hazard and eyesore to the entire area. The police were called here recently because fires were being set in the building and nothing was done and the homeless came right back. The owners of these properties should be held resposible to secure these buildings and the police should hold the homeless people setting these fires responsible. The fires are a common occurance all across mistown Memphis.
Any updates on the injured firefighter?

Thank rlfarr for clearing that up. I’m guessing the homeless living in the building trying to keep warm which caused the fires
